Joining the firm's Family & Collaborative Law Group in September 2026, Lisa brings years of experience in a range of family-related matters.
Since 2017, Lisa worked as an Assistant County Solicitor where she appeared in court weekly to litigate cases on behalf of the Office of Children, Youth and Families regarding juvenile dependency matters. In February 2025, she was promoted to Supervisor of th DHS/CYF Unit, where she worked closely with judges of the Allegheny County Juvenile Court system administration, managed a team of approximately 15 attorneys that handled children and family-related matters and provided insight on more extensive, complicated DHS questions and issues.
Lisa's practice has always centered around matters of family law and protecting the rights of children. Prior to her time as a Solicitor, she worked for KidsVoice and the University of Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center, followed by approximately 4 years at a fellow Pittsburgh-based law firm. At the firm, she counseled, advocated, negotiated and litigated for families with children with special needs by assisting them in addressing issues related to their children's education. She ensured that children had necessary special education services, including 504 Service Agreements, IEPs, and Gifted IEPs. Lisa handled due process hearings and negotiated compensory education trust funds for children who were denied an appropriate education. She also handled and assisted with federal civil rights litigation, including claims of Title IX violations, disability discrimination, and race discrimination.
With her background, Lisa will be a strong source of experience and expertise for the firm's Family & Collaborative Law Group, focusing on matters such as divorce, equitable distribution, child support and other child-related concerns, premarital agreements and beyond.
