The Pennsylvania child support guidelines are reviewed every four years. Updated child support guidelines were implemented effective January 1, 2026, that increased basic child support obligations due to increased cost of living. Additionally, new rules were implemented regarding receiving support for psychiatric/psychological treatments and orthodontia as reasonable medical expenses. If you are currently receiving child support, a modification of your current support order may be recommended.
Your support order will not automatically update. The longer you wait to modify your order, the longer you may be receiving support below the updated guideline amount.
