Our attorneys have experienced an array of matters related to the taking of private property by governmental and quasi-governmental entities. We have represented private citizens, such as homeowners and business owners, whose property is being acquired for public projects and have been taken in connection with economic development projects. Our efforts involve challenges to the right to take property in the trial courts, Commonwealth Court and Supreme Court and negotiating and litigating claims for just compensation for both businesses and private owners.
On the other hand, we have also represented governmental bodies in all aspects of eminent domain, aiming to pursue community development, while obtaining sensitive results for the previous property owners.
Taking control of the condemnation/eminent domain situation allows us to assess the needs of all parties involved and then to find the most positive solution possible.
