Litigation Group:

Oil & Gas

Recently, oil and gas law issues have become a very hot topic for a variety of groups and individuals.  New natural gas discoveries and technologies have the potential to dramatically change they way companies do business; the way municipalities regulate oil and gas operations within their borders; and to create new opportunities for property owners to transact with oil and gas companies.

With these new developments come a wide range of legal issues that need to be addressed. Because Goehring Rutter & Boehm represents oil and gas producers, municipalities and individual property owners, we are able to help all three of these groups address the legal issues they may be facing.

Our experiences with one group of clients helps enhance our representation of the other groups.  For property owners, we can assist in negotiating an oil and gas lease with the very best terms to benefit that property owner. In addition, we have undertaken litigation in order to determine the rights of individuals and companies to the oil, gas and other minerals underneath their property. We are also specialized in litigating disputes that may arise from a lease or other agreement relating to the development or production of oil and gas. Our municipal clients look to us to assist them in understanding their powers and rights when it comes to regulating the oil and gas industry.

We not only represent clients in the immediate Pittsburgh area, but in some of the surrounding counties, including, but not limited to, Butler, McKean, Potter and Indiana.
