Elizabeth practices within the firm's Family, School and Municipal and Real Estate Law Groups.
Much of her Family Law work focuses on divorce and support litigation. To offer another avenue in handling family-related issues, she is has trained in the methods of Collaborative Law, which settles disputes outside a courtroom. She recently completed a 6-hour Mediation course aimed for lawyers practicing in Collaborative Law.
In addition to her Family Law practice, Elizabeth represents public schools and municipal agencies in all matters of organization, management, operation and finance, as well as a variety of clients in matters at the trial and appellate court levels.
Elizabeth is a member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Matrimonial Inn of Court and as of January 1, 2011, began a three-year term on the Board of Directors for the Stepping Stones Children's Center.
Prior to working at GRB, Elizabeth completed externships with both the former Chief Justice Ralph Cappy from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and Judge John T. Bender from the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
Elizabeth earned her undergraduate degree, a B.A. in 1999, from the Pennsylvania State University. She then worked in retail buying for a department store and specialty furniture store. In 2003, Elizabeth proceeded to the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where she received her Juris Doctorate and Health Law Certificate in 2006. During law school, Elizabeth was a Legal Writing Teaching Assistant and a member of the Journal of Law Technology and Policy.
Elizabeth is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
