Don is a member of the firm's Real Estate Law and School and Municipal Law Groups.

 

Don represents property owners, lenders, purchasers, developers, landlords and tenants in a wide array of real estate transactions. These transactions include sales and acquisitions, title insurance and closings, lending and loan documentation, real estate development, zoning and land use, construction, leasing and lease enforcement.

 

In addition to his real estate work, Don represents municipalities, public school districts and charter schools with multiple legal issues. Formerly an associate counsel with the Pennsylvania Department of Education, he is highly experienced and well-known in the areas of special education and student rights. Don has recently been named solicitor for the Woodland Hills School District.

 

Don’s experience with education expands beyond his legal work. He has been an adjunct professor for Duquesne University since 1995 and has been on the Board of Directors for the Mount Gallitzin Academy.

 

Don is a member of the Pennsylvania, Allegheny County and Butler County Bar Associations, including an active membership in the Allegheny County Bar Municipal and School Solicitors Association and Real Estate Section. He is an appointed solicitor for both the Adams and Findlay Township Zoning Hearing Boards.

 

A magna cum laude graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Don graduated with a B.S. in Political Science. Continuing his education at the Duquesne University School of Law, he received his Juris Doctor in 1986.

 

Don is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
