Megan is a member of the firm’s School and Municipal Law Group.
She represents municipalities and schools in all matters of organization, finance, legal compliance, labor and employment litigation. She serves as a lead attorney in the firm’s delinquent tax practice where she supervises a team of paralegals and associates in the day-to-day practice of collection litigation.
Megan also supervises the firm’s tax assessment practice. She regularly writes and speaks on property maintenance programs, municipal claims and tax collection, Sunshine Law and Right-to-Know issues.
Megan serves as Solicitor to the Boroughs of Conway, Avalon and Leetsdale, as well as the Kennedy Township Uniform Construction Code Appellate Board.
Megan is an active member of the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations. After serving two year-long terms as Vice-Chair, she was elected President of the ACBA's School and Municipal Solicitor's Association in 2011.
She was also selected as a member of the ACBA’s Young Lawyers Division Bar Leadership Initiative Class of 2006 and has served as an elected member of the Young Lawyers Division Council. In the fall of 2009, Megan was appointed to a 2 year term as a Zone 12 Delegate to the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates, a legislative body that sets policies in the Pennsylvania legal community.
In addition to her work for the Bar Associations, Megan volunteers with the Pro Bono Protection From Abuse Program through Neighborhood Legal Services of Pittsburgh.
Since 2009, Megan has been consistently named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star in the area of Municipal Law.
Megan graduated from Penn State University in 2001, earning a B.A. in History and French Communication. She continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she received her J.D. in 2004. In recent years, Megan has participated on the Alumni Panel of the Pitt Law Admission's Open House for Admitted Students, where she speaks of her experience at the school and her career path in Pittsburgh.
Megan is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania State Courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
