Matt joins GRB after  spending the past two years as Law Clerk to the Honorable Joy Flowers Conti of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. As Law Clerk to Judge Conti, Matt was responsible for coordinating all aspects of civil and criminal litigation, briefing the court on complicated legal issues, and drafting opinions and memoranda. While with the Federal District Court, Matt gained extensive experience and expertise in Complex Litigation, Class Actions, Civil Procedure, Civil Rights and Constitutional Law.

 

With his background in litigation, Matt will be working in the areas of complex litigation, employment, construction and civil rights.

 

Prior to his study of law, Matt was the director of a nonprofit organization serving at-risk youth and their families.

 

Matt is a graduate of Harvard University with a degree in Engineering. He later earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2007.  While at Pitt, Matt earned a Certificate of Advanced Study in Civil Litigation, and was the Senior Articles Editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. During Law School, Matt was a research assistant to Professor Richard Delgado, a leading legal scholar and prolific writer.
