A member of the firm's Estate Planning Group, Bob has been practicing law in Pittsburgh for over thirty years. He has served as head counsel of the firm in numerous estate and trust litigation matters, involving the rights of adopted children and the interpretation of wills and trusts. His main and current focus is on business law, estates, trusts and taxation.

 

While attending law school at Pitt, he was Case Editor on the Law Review, elected as a member of the Order of the Coif and began working at GRB as a law clerk. Bob then served as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force, before continuing his career at Goehring, Rutter & Boehm.

 

He serves as counsel to the Southwestern Pennsylvania Synod of the ELCA and is a charter member of the ELCA Attorneys Association, which is comprised of attorneys representing Lutheran churches. He is also a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association.

 

His dedication to Lutheran churches carries over to his involvement with St. John’s Lutheran Church, where he was not only an active board member, but at one point, served as president. In addition, he served as a board member of the North Allegheny School District for nine years, also including a term as president. Over the years, Bob has been highly praised for his devout dedication to multiple nonprofit organizations and continues to donate his time.

 

Bob was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Colgate University, before continuing his education at the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his Juris Doctorate and was designated as a Mellon Scholar.
